Wigan

Although Wigan hates her freckles and her nose, she is a joyful Witch with strong social values. She is a petite little thing at seven years old, with long unruly hair. She has a magic hat, which she only has to touch for the inspiration and magic to flow. She also has a spell book which Gwanfwee has always believed holds her power – hence his determination to steal it. She loves to wear different styles of clothes, sometimes leggings and trainers and sometimes dresses made out of leaves from the forest. Wigan really doesn’t like bullying or any form of intimidation, but she also recognises that the behaviour usually comes from fear. She has a natural and authentic compassion for all sentient beings and has a sweet essence. She believes she is ‘in service’ to mankind and she has a passion for helping children, particularly those who lack confidence and self-esteem.

Wigan will always challenge if she feels something is unfair, even if she is a little bit scared herself! Her mother is Groolibee, the oldest Witch in Grazzlethorn and her Father is Torreth, a Wizard, who works in Avebury protecting and balancing the magic standing stones close to his home. The three of them live in the Old Oak Tree which is over a thousand years old and full of ancient wisdom. Her very best friends are Offi the Unicorn, Oogri the Owl and Fergal the Frog and she enjoys nothing more than setting off for a day of play and adventure!
